About us

WHY WE STARTED CAREVITAS

Built on Real Experience, Compassion, and a Commitment to Better Care

With over 20 years of hands-on experience, we have supported seniors and individuals living with disabilities in long-term care, specialized autism support, and in-home settings. One of our founders is a Registered Nurse who has worked in hospitals and across a range of care environments, and the other holds a degree in Aging and Developmental Disabilities with years of hands-on caregiving experience.

We have seen what good care feels like and we have also seen when it is missing.

That is why we do things differently.

At CareVitas, your loved one is never just a number. We provide care that is personal, consistent, and built around real needs so people can feel safe, comfortable, and respected in their own homes.

The standard we hold ourselves to is simple: care for every client the way we would care for our own family.

About us

Our Approach to Care

We believe care should never feel rushed, impersonal, or one-size-fits-all.

Every client is different, which is why we take the time to understand their needs, routines, and preferences. Our goal is to provide support that feels natural, respectful, and consistent not just for the client, but for their entire family.

About us

A Team You Can Trust

Our caregivers are chosen not just for their experience, but for their compassion, reliability, and commitment to doing things the right way.

We believe the right caregiver makes all the difference and we take that responsibility seriously.

Every caregiver goes through a thorough screening process before they ever meet a client a vulnerable sector police check, verified certifications including PSW or DSW, CPR, First Aid, and CPI, reference checks, and a face-to-face interview where we look at not just their skills but who they are as a person. Because skills can be taught but genuine compassion cannot.

Once they join us, our caregivers receive additional training specific to the clients they support. Someone working with a dementia client gets dementia-specific training. Someone supporting a palliative client goes through end-of-life care preparation. We do not send people into situations they are not ready for.

A Note to Every Family Who Reaches Out

We know choosing a home care agency is not easy. You are making a decision that affects someone you love deeply. We respect that.
If you call us and we are not the right fit we will tell you honestly. We would rather point you in the right direction than take on a client we cannot serve properly.
But if we are the right fit, we will show up for your family the way we would want someone to show up for ours.
